Nepali Embassy urges Nepali students to stay safe amid protests in Bangladesh

Dhaka: The Nepali Embassy has advised all Nepali in Bangladesh to stay in safe locations following recent political turmoil.

The Nepali embassy in Dhaka issued a notice today urging all Nepali to prioritize their safety due to ongoing violent demonstrations related to the anti-quota movement.

Most Nepali students in Bangladesh have already returned to Nepal, with approximately 400 students remaining who are currently safe.

The embassy has recommended that any students wishing to return to Nepal should coordinate with the embassy and make appropriate security arrangements before traveling.

Likewise, international news agency BBC, confirmed that Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned.
