Bagmati Province Chief Minister Lama secures vote of confidence

Kathmandu: The Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Bahadur Singh Lama has received a vote of confidence from the Provincial Assembly.

Sixty-four votes were received in favour of Chief Minister Lama, who submitted a motion of confidence in the provincial assembly meeting held today.

Thirty-seven MPs of the Nepali Congress and Twenty-seven MPs of the CPN-UML voted in favour of Chief Minister Lama.

Out of the total 110 state assembly members, the support of 56 MPs is required for a majority.
